The new anime season is upon us and this is the first installment of the Sunday Wrap-Up. This is a trial series that I am currently testing just to see how it goes. In the weekly wrap-up I will write about the episodes of anime that I watched this past week for the season, and what I thought of the episodes. There are probably going to be spoilers so do proceed at own risk, but I think that may not become an issue until later in the season. For some shows anyway. These posts probably will not be super long ones. That being said let’s jump into it.
Yes this is a Sunday Wrap-Up published on a Tuesday, but I got a little behind this weekend and could not make the Sunday deadline. I had already made the picture below and did not want to change it, so I decided just to roll with it because I would really like to keep the Sunday post date…and I already made the picture and did not want to say that.
Normally I would not write this post until after I have wrapped up the previous season, but seeing as how the Spring Season starts sooner than I expected and some of the shows I watched from the Winter season still have a few more episodes left in them (I am looking at you Idolish7), and I am horribly behind on others, I decided to just go ahead and write my first impressions for the Spring Season now to get it out of the way. This season had quite a few shows that I was really looking forward to and a few that caught my attention while I was browsing MAL. As I always say these are only the shows that I am planning to watch. I have not actually seen any of them yet, so I may end up either dropping some or picking up others along the way. I will, of course, let you know what I did during the Wrap-Up at the end of the season. Now…let us get started.
I already feel so behind on this season because I have only really watched two shows and I saw that one show already has multiple episodes released so I am already so behind. The first week of school just so perfectly matched up with the first week many shows started airing, and since the first week is usually the craziest I had no time to watch anything because I was adjusting to my new schedule and I was exhausted after being done with many of them. I try to get out my first impressions post before I watch anything, so it worked out that I am still behind but that does not reduce my stress level. I also kind of had problems with choosing what shows I wanted to watch. Part of my struggle with this season was that there was not one show that had me jumping out of my season waiting for it. There were a few that initially peaked my interest, but nothing that really caught my attention originally. Nevertheless, I did indeed find some shows to watch and today I am going to tell you about what I chose to watch this season.
With Fall 2017 season concluded and all wrapped in a bow, it is that time of the season to go over just how I think the shows I watched this season performed. There were…quite a few drops, some additions, some put on hold, and one show I finally caught up on! This season has actually been a real rollercoaster for me as a fan, seeing as how I look at the shows I started on and the ones I actually finished and there were quite a few changes made. We have a lot to go through, so buckle up guys.
I am back again, and so soon as well, that it is the time of the year where everyone gives you a heads up of what they are going to watch this season. I am no exception to that whatsoever. While last season felt like of….meh to me, I am looking forward to some of the shows we are getting this season. A few especially that I have heard many good things about and cannot wait to get my hands on. I know as of right now some shows having already started airing (which doesn’t help the fact that I already feel like I’m behind) but I have not started anything as of right now. As I type this at 1:30 on 10/5/17. Anyway, let’s get right into the shows I’ll be watching this season and why I decided to give them a shot. There’s also a special list at the end for some show, but you will have to stick around until then to see what they are.
Wrap-ups are back! Wrap-ups are back! I feel like I have not written one of these in such a long time. Almost a year I think!
What an….interesting season this has been. Some shows that I thought I would really enjoy I ended up not really feeling motivated to get past the first episode. Other shows that I did not think I would like, and maybe were not the best, ended up being the ones that I looked forward to week after week. It was definitely an interesting season that we can now, for the most part, put behind us and move on to the Fall Season that is coming up.
Normally I do this a lot later, usually after the season has already started, but I decided to just give you guys an outline of what I am looking at watching before the season starts, and then at the end of the season, in the Wrap-Up, I’ll tell you guys what I actually followed through on and what my final impression of it was. Sound good? Good. In the end if I don’t like it, we’ll just go back to the regular format next season. Without further adieu, let’s get started!
Hello again everyone! As promised here is the first of a series of posts that I had prepared as a way to end 2016. I know 2016 ended a few months ago now, but I still wanted to sit back and reflect on what some of my favorite parts of that season were.
So today we are starting off with the openings, since openings start off just about every episode of anime. I will warn you now, however, that some shows may be featured on both of these lists. It seemed liked if a show had an opening that I loved, then there was a good chance that I liked the ending a lot was well. But that is something I’ll talk about when we get to the ending part. Anyway, here are my Top 5 Openings of 2016!!
Man the end of this season really snuck up on me before I knew it. One minute I was watching the seventh episode of Handa-kun and then BOOM all of a sudden it was week 12 and I was behind on so many episodes it was not funny. It also did not help that I had some friends come and stay at my apartment the last weekend of the season and I got super behind on shows, but me rambling is not why we are here today. We are here because even though it snuck up on me, the Summer 2016 Anime Season has come to an end. And let me just say that I cried a whole lot more than I thought I would. For those of you who may not know, the wrap-ups are kind of like mini reviews of my thoughts on what I had of the show. This season there are a few exceptions to the usual pattern of the mini reviews. The first is the matter of ReLIFE, the only reason there is an exception for ReLIFE is because it was released all in one go for a certain lucky few of us and I wrote a full Anime Review. There will be a link in the ReLIFE section for you all to go and check it out if you have not done so already. The second is actually a common thing which is that one of the shows I watched is not over yet so I will just let you know what I think of it so far! Sound good?
Without further adieu, here is my Wrap-Up for the Summer 2016 Anime Season!
The start of July brings the first week of the Summer 2016 Anime Season. At this point in time some anime have already started airing, while we still have some time until some other ones air. Nevertheless, I wanted to go ahead and share with you guys the shows that I am already watching as well as the ones that I plan to watch as soon as they air. The Summer 2016 Season has a few shows that I am SUPER excited about and cannot wait to watch. In this post I will let you know why I chose to watch the shows, or am planning to watch them. This list is not set in stone, I could add or drop shows as I go. I will let you know if I do pick up or drop shows as well as what I thought of all of these shows in the wrap-up that will come at the end of the season. With that out of the way, let’s get started.Continue reading →
