Haikyuu!! Review

76014Welcome back my wonderful friends to the final day of Anniversary Review Week! I hope you have enjoyed the posts the last few days. I have enjoyed working on them and looking at some shows I have been wanting to talk about for a while. I do want to remind you guys that there are more posts coming for the rest of Anniversary Month, so stay tuned for those and cheek out the other reviews from this week if you have not seen them already! Today’s show has become one of my all-time favorite anime, and I know some of you feel the same way as well. I have been wanting to review it for a while but wanted to make sure I would be able to do it justice in a review. However, I am going to try my hardest! Plus, it is my birthday today and I always review my favorites on my birthday!! I did play the sport today’s anime is about in junior high and am already working on a post about my personal experience and how it related. That post will hopefully be out by the end of the month, time pending.

Without further adieu, here is my 45th Anime Review and Day 8 of Anniversary Review Week! It is time to look at quicks, salonpas, crows, flying high, and most importantly volleyballs in Haikyuu!!

Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju Review

77907Here we are on Day 7 of Anniversary Review Week! This week has really blown by this year, and I am really sad to see it be over. But we still have today and tomorrow, and more posts every weekend day for the rest of the month so the celebrations are not over yet. Today we are talking about a show that reminded me a little bit of my childhood. A time when my Grandma sat me down and told me the stories about when she used to ride a horse to school, or the stories about how my Great-Grandma first came to America. How that side of my family was affected during World War I & II because we still had family in Germany (the other sides of my family having already been here for generations). Then she slips up and tells me about the multiple times my uncle used to come back home drunk from parties and would pass out on the coffee table. The show today kind of reminded me of that. Except my mom was not running in after the last part to stop it because “she should not be hearing those things about her uncle”.

So here is my 44th Anime Review and the post for Day 7 of Anniversary Review Week. The review for the anime that reminded me of my Grandma’s stories, a show that I really enjoyed despite the problems that it had: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju.

3rd Anniversary Post

3rd Anniversary PhotoHello everybody! Today is the day that we are celebrating Ka-chan Anime Reviews’s 3rd Anniversary. I always amazes me when this anniversary comes around that I am still here. The last year has been a little iffy for me, seeing as how I fell off the face of the Earth, but this blog is something that does mean a lot to me. I was not sure what I really wanted to talk about today, but I decided to list off five tips that I have learned over the past three years of blogging, which may be helpful or it could just be me rambling for for god knows how long. But that really would not be anything new, would it? Anyway so here are 5 things/tips that I have learned in my years of blogging.

Aldnoah.Zero Review

60263We are now halfway through Anniversary Review Week, today being Day 4. Are you all getting tired of me yet? Not yet? Good! Today’s anime is one that had a great first season, one that left be questioning just what happened, but then the second season fell a little bit flat. Which is one of the worst things that can happen to an anime, and makes me as a fan a little angry when the second season to a promising anime series falls short of the expectations you set for it. Of course you also should not set the bar too high for these things either…I am rambling now so that means it is time to stop my train of thought. Moving on! I always like to pick a mech show to review during this week because mech shows are one of my favorite shows to watch. I had originally planned to review Gundam Build Fighters Try but then I realized that I had already done the first series, and decided to save that for either a later review or a Sequel Saturday.

Anyway, here is my 41st Anime Review and Day 4 of Anniversary Review Week, the review for a show that still leaves me with mixed feelings: Aldnoah.Zero.

Orange Review

80110Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying Anniversary Review Week so far. Today is Day 2 and while we talked about a upbeat show yesterday, we are going to look at the other side of the spectrum today. I normally am not one that goes into a situation knowing I am going to cry. Sure, I cried when Seido lost in Ace of Diamond and several times during Kimi ni Todoke, but I did not know I was going to cry. There are a lot of shows out there that I want to watch, but the knowledge of the emotional turmoil I am going to be sent through keeps me away. Today we are talking about the one of the few shows I have gone into that I knew would lead to my crying multiple times over the course of it.

So let’s jump right into my 39th Anime Review, and Day 2 of Anniversary Review Week. My review of a show that…well that tells quite the story: Orange.

Starmyu Review

75765Hello everyone! It is officially the starts of the 3rd Annual Anniversary Review Week!! Yay! To kick off this week we are starting with a show that I both love and makes me laugh uncontrollably for periods on end just because of the sure ridiculousness of it. A show that, while it had it’s flaws (and trust me we’re going to talk about those) it also kept me hooked from episode to episode. It was a show that fell a little short in some places, but was still very enjoyable to me nonetheless. I laughed, I was surprised, I also got very angry.

So here is my 38th Anime Review and Day 1 of Anniversary Review Week. The review for an anime that was…interesting to say the least: Starmyu.

Anniversary Month 2017

Someone please tell me how we are in July already? I feel like the past year just flew by.  Nevertheless, it is July again which means my favorite time of year has come once again.  For those of you who are new, July celebrates the anniversary of the day that I made this crazy blog as well as my birthday. I love to use this month as a way to not only celebrate the blog, but also thank all of you who have been here to both read the blog and be good blogging friends. This past year has not been easy, I did disappear for a while, but that does not mean I want this opportunity to just fly by with the excuse of just waiting until next year. Because I did think about that briefly. But my love for celebration overwhelmed that.

In the end, this is a thank you to all of you who read my crazy posts, and no matter how hard I try I find myself unable to find the proper words to thank all of you. Some of you have helped me just by being around, or by posting funny things on twitter when I’m sad. Every comment, like, view, and follow means the absolute world with me.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

ERASED Review

Welcome back to Day 8 of Anniversary Review Week, and unfortunately today is the last day. While I am sad to see this week come to an end, it ended up being more successful than I had ever imagined. Thank you to everyone who came back everyday to read the reviews, as well as those who joined the party as the week went by. I am already looking forward to what next year will bring. But today is not over yet, and neither is Anniversary Month and there is still more to come.

Today I bring you an anime review for a show that I really enjoyed, but did have its flaws. It is a show that I had not chose to watch back in the Winter 2016 Anime Season but I had heard so much about it that I picked it up five weeks in. It is one of my favorite shows to have come out this year so far.

Without further adieu, here is my 36th Anime Review and Day 8 of Anniversary Review Week. The review for an anime that people have either come to love or hate: ERASED.

Here is my 34th Anime Review and Day 6 of Anniversary Review Week!! The review for one of the shows that made me fall in love with sports anime: Kuroko’s Basketball.
